So, I just finished reading Enders, and I’m wondering if there’s a third book coming, and also afraid to find that there isn’t.
This book was AMAZING, which is why I’m reviewing it today.
Just to warn you, there’ll be spoilers. There might not be, but I’m just saying this because I don’t plan on holding back in talking about it, because I’m kind of psyched right now.
So, let’s start with the beginning. I was kind of bored, because I wanted (I’ve wanted this since the end of book one) Callie and Blake to become a thing. (Trust me, if you agree, by the end of this book you’ll change your mind, even if I still want to know Blake better.)
They didn’t, and there was way too much Michael in this book. I really hate him, I think he’s so annoying, there were times when I wished he would die.
In the whole book, there was only one time when I sort of liked him, but then he got annoying again (and that was within the first ten chapters, I think).
And then, we have (SPOILER)…
(I’m waiting for you to leave if you haven’t read this book)
…Hyden. Who is partly responsible for my hatred of Michael, and my change of heart concerning Blallie (Blake & Callie. I don’t know if they have a name, but I’m calling them that).
He’s amazing, and for the hundredth time, I’m in love with a boy in a book. I don’t know how I’ll ever get a boyfriend in real life this way (not that I want one, really. Real boys are trouble).
Anyway, I was already in love with Blake in book one, even after I found he was the Old Man - especially when he talked to Callie at the end. I desperately need to meet a boy like that, who loves books as much as I do. (Will Herondale, anyone?)
…after I found out the Old Man was actually an young man, or a Starter, we can say I fell in love again. Way to make a love triangle, Lissa Price.
Wait, I think that’s actually a love square, since I think Michael is kind of into Callie (though I certainly hope she isn’t into him).
Anyway…Hyden, right. That whole thing with his skin (I’m not going to warn spoilers anymore. Shame on you if you’ve gotten this far, past the first warning), is really horrible.
I mean, no one can touch you? That’s terrible. Makes me think my daddy issues really aren’t that big in the issue scale.
I’m trying to think of what I’m forgetting. There’s probably something else I want to say (there always is) but I can’t remember anything right now.
Oh, well. If it’s groundbreaking, I’ll just make another post about it.
In short, I want another book. Two is too little. Maybe three? Or six? I could do with six.
But, unfortunately, I think this is the last book. If I’m wrong, please contradict me!
Now, I know I did the last review in a different format, but I just wanted to ramble here, and because I’m a random person, every review will be different (look at it this way: you will never be bored).
I wanted to write down some quotes, but it’s getting late, and I have to go work out, and then I’m going to watch Reign and read another book and copy quotes and do other Saturday things like that.
I’m thinking of making a video, and I cut the chosen song already (I always do that first) but my inspiration is missing right now. Maybe I’ll go look for her.
See? You can always count on me for the dumbest jokes ever, even if I fancy myself witty for some reason.
See you guys later. ;)
PS: let’s choose a name for Hyden & Callie! I’m thinking Hallie, but would Cyden be weird? Or Clake (for Blake & Callie) ?
I am not good at this.
